Built in 1992, Raven Street Studios is Ottawa's largest and most established recording facility.
Our College, The Audio Recording Academy (TARA) provides a 'sound' education, utilizing first-class instructors, facilities, and equipment.
Raven Street studios began construction of its facility in 1992, and remains Ottawas’ largest and most established recording complex.
Our Facility is 3500 square feet and hosts 3 studios to accommodate all clients budgets. Each room offers a console, Mac computers, Protools and Logic DAWs and a variety of gear specific to each room such as SOTA- CF 750’s, KRK monitors, Yamaha Hs-80 monitors. Studio C houses a 1”, 16 track tascam reel to reel machine.
Studio A features a new SSL console (including Neve preamps), SOTA CF 750 monitors, and outboard gear by API, Focusrite and UREI. With its 45’ x 35’ recording room, it can accommodate both the largest and smallest groups and is ideal for live off the floor sessions. All rooms are connected via glass, so sight lines are perfect for bands recording together. It also features a 9’ Baldwin Grand piano and its signature (and massive) hinged diffuser panels to enable acoustic flexibility within seconds. Engineers and producers agree that recording drums in Studio A is an experience like no other.
We have 2 isolation booths, including a particularly dry vocal booth ideal for both artists and narration.
